INTRO
Welcome to week 4 of our Move 150 series. 150 minutes per week is the minimum amount of activity that every person needs to keep their heart healthy according to all the health organizations in the world. We have created variety of seated workouts that will make it easy for you to get the recommended 150 minutes of exercise per week continuing to improve strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and heart health. Day 1 - No Stress
Workout Type: Cardio, Flexibility, Strength, Balance, and Agility and Cognitive Function
Safe for: Osteoarthritis, Carpal Tunnel, Bladder Control, and Osteoporosis
Kathy guides you through a total body workout that is done in a chair. She emphasizes the importance of good posture and proper form while performing the exercises. The workout includes warm-up exercises for the neck and shoulders, movements for the arms and wrists, leg lifts, hip exercises, and abdominal exercises. Kathy also explains the benefits of exercise for the body and mind. The video ends with a cool-down and stretches to help relax the muscles. Back
Day 2 - Whole Body
Day 3 - Abs
This total body workout focuses on abs and core strength. It includes gentle movement to increase the heart rate throughout the workout. Working range of motion for the arms and incorporating exercises for the front, sides, and back of the abs, as well as stretches for other muscle groups. Cardio, strength, flexibility, and coordination are keys in this workout. Back
Day 4 - Line Dance Black Velvet
The video features Kathy guiding viewers through a country Western line dance series, focusing on warm-up chair exercises and basic line dance steps like touch, grapevine, box step, shuffle, and kick ball change.
